Management of the enterprise is thinking of assigning you, in collaboration with a consulting firm, the important endeavour of a digital implementation project in order to improve resource management. As a respondent to this questionnaire you may be either:
- An employee chosen to join the project team as an internal consultant for an indefinite period,
- You may be acting as an outside consultant working with the main end users of the new system.
This implementation has important implications for work processes in relation to each department concerned. This questionnaire is meant to evaluate your readyness and that of the whole organization for ensuring the success of this project. The results will give your organization an idea of its strengths and areas of tangible improvement and this will enable a better preparation of the proposed changes. The first section contains general questions concerning you and the organization for which the software application system will be implemented. Answer these questions to the best of your ability. The second section presents situational exercises. If you are an external consultant answer as though you are an employee unless instructions tells you otherwise. Read each scenario carefully and choose the answer best suited to yourself and to the business context. It may be that some questions do not appear to be pertinent or do not precisely fit your present situation at work. Or you may find the choice of answers is not exactly what you would have expected. Choose the answer which illustrates your day-to-day experience in the workplace.
There are no right or wrong answers and this is not like an exam that you have to pass. Software application systems are complex technologies and each one represents a new challenge to our skills, habits and creativity. You may feel you are not particularly invested in these technologies and you don't know too much about them. This is not a problem and in fact it will be helpful to the implementation team to know this so that they can provide you with everything you need to facilitate the transition and make the experience pleasant and effective. So make sure to choose the responses that best represent you.
In order to give the most reliable results to this thorough assessment, it is very important that you allow yourself a solid 45 minutes without any interruption. So it is strongly recommended that you will avoid any disturbance or interruption by phone or email and that you complete spontaneously all the questions in one attempt.
